On December 18
th, 2024, the Tunisian Post
issued the set of two stamp "City of sciences in Tunisia" in tribute to the
contribution of this prestigious public institution to the dissemination of scientific and
technological culture and innovation among all sections of society, particularly students, pupils and children.
Below is a quote from an official press release, published by Tunisian Post in 2024.
The City of sciences in Tunisia opened its doors in 1992, a monument to Tunisia's scientific culture and an attractive space for all
those looking to make scientific discoveries.
The City was built on six hectares around a historical and archaeological site.
It welcomes at least 200,000 visitors a year to participate in various events,
interactive shows, and educational workshops.
As part of its mission, City of sciences in Tunisia seeks to democratize science and the formation of tomorrow's citizens.
Thanks to its strong network of partnerships, it contributes to the economic and social development Of the country and
ensures that Tunisia is at the center of international scientific issues.
